Sprofondo (Collapsing) – Marquina Black Marble Mirror
Sfero Design
Inspired by the idea of foreshortening, fragmentation and partiality of individual perspectives, this stunning mirror takes its name from the Italian word meaning “to collapse.”
The glass simulates a break where one can look out.
The mirror is like a crack that allows one to sink inwardly rather than reflect.
Supported by eight slabs of Nero Marquina marble held together by a solid strap, the mirror is 180 cm high and has an irregularly undulating profile.
