Marble, modern design and Art Deco: a luxury apartment in Monaco

Pistore Marmi > Works > Marble, modern design and Art Deco: a luxury apartment in Monaco
Monaco

In the heart of Monaco, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, Park Palace III is a renovation project that interprets contemporary elegance through a refined and timeless material language.

With a surface area of 134 m², this residence has been completely redesigned in collaboration with Studio Quentin, creating bright and sophisticated interiors where marble becomes the central narrative element.

The project combines the boldness of modern design with the refinement of Art Deco in a balanced way, through the use of noble materials, custom workmanship, and high-profile finishes. It is a constant dialogue between luxury, precision craftsmanship, and compositional harmony. This project expresses a precise vision of contemporary design: marble as a living material, capable of defining space through balance, light, and tailor-made workmanship.

A collaboration that shows how Italian craftsmanship and international design can come together to create exclusive and timeless interiors.

The bathrooms: Cipollino Verde marble as a sensory experience

The two bathrooms are the expressive heart of the apartment, two rooms designed to become an oasis of relaxation.

The absolute star is Cipollino Verde marble, used for wall and shower coverings, as well as for custom-made sinks and bathtubs.

Characterized by a grayish-white background crossed by fluid, layered green veins, Cipollino Verde offers a refined and natural visual impact. The slabs were cut, polished, and laid using the book-matching technique, creating a graphic continuity that envelops the entire space and amplifies the perception of the surfaces.

In one of the bathrooms, a niche with Cipollino Verde shelves, framed by a perimeter ornamental element, adds an extra level of detail and architectural character.

The floor introduces an elegant material contrast: an inlay composed of a geometric diamond pattern obtained by interweaving White Travertine and Dark Emperador marble, in dialogue with the colors of the wooden vanity and faucets, for a sophisticated and coherent result.

Inlaid floors: geometry, contrast, and material

Inlaid floors, designed as true architectural surfaces, play a fundamental role in defining the spaces. In the bathrooms, the dialogue between White Travertine and Dark Emperador marble takes shape in a refined diamond pattern, where the contrast in color and texture enhances the depth of the surface and elegantly complements the furnishings.

In the kitchen and hallway, the same materials are reinterpreted through a more dynamic design: rectangles of different sizes and proportions, larger in travertine and more compact in Emperador Dark, alternate to create rhythm and movement.

A design choice that unifies the rooms while maintaining a clear formal identity, enhancing the natural beauty of the stone and demonstrating how geometry and material can coexist in a sophisticated and contemporary balance.

Kitchen and living room: contrasting materials and visual continuity

At the heart of the living area, the kitchen and living room merge into a refined environment where natural stone becomes light and a means of connecting spaces and functions.

The choice of Ivory Onyx defines the identity of the space: a precious material with a pearly, luminous color that amplifies the natural brightness of the interiors and harmoniously interacts with the surrounding furnishings.
Characterized by a delicate layered structure, with shades ranging from cream to ice white, Ivory Onyx gives the environment a refined and timeless elegance. In this project, it was used for the kitchen countertop, the custom-made boxed sink, the backsplash, the island and bar cabinet tops, and even the dining table, creating a material continuity that visually unifies the space.

The natural translucency of onyx, combined with high-quality finishes and warm materials such as polished walnut wood and Dark Emperador details on the perimeter frame of the floor and skirting boards, creates a sophisticated balance between light, materials, and design, making the kitchen not only a functional space but also a truly impressive room.
